Privacy Policy

Liberty Residents Directory is a local public-record and historical-reference resource for Liberty, Missouri. This policy describes the limited visitor information involved in using it, how that information is handled, and the choices available to you. No account is required to browse the resource. The service does not keep a personal directory profile about visitors or store the public records that outside government offices and repositories control.

Information You Provide

If you enter a name, phone number, or address in a search form, that entry is sent to the independent provider that supplies the resulting search experience. Liberty Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those search terms on its own servers. When you contact us, the information available to us is the content of your message and the contact details you choose to include. It is used to respond to the request.

Automatic Technical Data

Like most hosted services, the hosting environment records ordinary technical log data such as an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate for security, troubleshooting, and basic traffic measurement. Cookies or comparable tools may also be used for basic analytics and, when present, advertising measurement. This information is not used to create an individual visitor profile.

How Information Is Used

The limited data described above helps operate the service, diagnose errors, measure aggregate use, answer messages, and improve the information presented. We do not sell visitor lists. We also do not compile profiles of individual visitors from their activity on Liberty Residents Directory.

External Links and Searches

Links may lead to Clay County, City of Liberty, Missouri, library, archive, or other outside resources. Those organizations control the information submitted on their own pages and their privacy terms apply there. The same is true of sponsored search results and the third-party provider that supplies them. Review the destination’s policy before entering information outside Liberty Residents Directory.

Service Providers and Disclosure

Hosting and technical support providers may process server-log data in order to operate and secure the service. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described in this policy. Information may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it. Outside those circumstances, visitor information is not shared as a visitor list or individual profile.

Safeguards and Retention

The service uses an encrypted connection. Technical logs are retained only for the period reasonably needed for the operational purposes described here. There are no Liberty Residents Directory user accounts, passwords, or visitor profiles maintained by the service. That limited design reduces the kinds of personal information that could be exposed through an account system.

Visitors Under 18

This resource is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor has sent personal information through a contact message, notify us through the contact route and the information will be removed.

Your Privacy Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information a service keeps. Because Liberty Residents Directory retains very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant server logs, then removing information found there when appropriate. Submit a request through the Contact page.

Missouri’s RSMo §407.1500 is a data-breach notification law. It requires notice without unreasonable delay after certain security breaches and has additional notice rules for larger breaches. It is not a general Missouri data-broker deletion or opt-out statute. Public records held by a city, county, state office, court, archive, or other custodian are outside this service’s control. For a request under the Missouri Sunshine Law, RSMo §610.023 directs the request to the custodian and sets a third-business-day response framework.

Policy Revisions

Changes to this policy will appear here. Continued use after a revision is posted means you accept the revised policy.
